Farsley Cricket Club

More beneficiaries

Farsley Cricket Club, one of the Bradford Cricket League’s leading clubs, has been established since 1864. Originally the club was named Farsley Britannia after the Britannia Fields where they first played, which now forms a business park owned by a local firm Hainsworth’s, who manufacture cloth for snooker/billiard tables, and are still supporting the club to this day!!

At the turn of the century, Farsley Britannia joined forces with a group of local
businessmen who formed the Farsley Cricket Club Company who purchased a plot of land
at the top of Red Lane in Farsley, where they remain to this day! The club has a very thriving crown green bowling section and has recently joined forces with Farsley Football Club, promoting junior football in the village.

Farsley Cricket Club is working with the local community in promoting cricket for all age
groups. The club runs teams at Under 9; 11; 13; and 15, a 3rd XI, 2nd XI and 1st XI.

The 1st XI is currently in Division 1 of the JCT600 Bradford Cricket League.

The 2nd XI competing in Division One of the JCT600 Bradford League 2nd XI competition.

The 3rd XI will be competing in Division 2 of the Dales Council Cricket League.
